THE PROCESS

DESIGN WORK

Your brows will be carefully mapped and shaped with a wax pencil. The unique and customized shape is created using a specialized tool that measures different areas of your face to determine the location, shape and size of your brows. Any specific requests (thicker/ thinner brows, higher arch, longer tails, etc.) will all be considered while drawing. This step can and will be done over-and-over if necessary to ensure satisfaction and confidence in the result.

BLADING PROCEDURE

Once the shape has been drawn and confirmed, we are ready to start blading! The tip of the blade is dipped into the pigment and swept through the brow as individual hair-like strokes. During this process, we will apply anesthetic gel as needed for maximum comfort throughout the procedure.

Once brows are complete we will go over after-care instructions and apply some natural healing cream on your brows before you leave. We recommend communicating with us during your healing process incase any questions or concerns come up. The follow-up appointment is highly recommended as it is difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment.

PRE-APPOINTMENT

NO fish oils or omega supplements one week prior to your appointment.

DO NOT consume caffeine the day of your appointment. Avoid alcohol the night before and day of your appointment.

AVOID any aspirin, Advil, or Ibuprofen the day before and the day of your appointment.

DO NOT use any retinol products for 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

NO waxing or tinting at least 3 days before your appointment.

Keeping brows at their most natural (wild) state actually helps give us full control when mapping and shaping them out. During the procedure, we will also tweeze/ shape brows as necessary. Any other questions or concerns you may have, please contact us by text or email and we’ll be happy to clarify any information.

POST-APPOINTMENT

Some guidelines to go by after the procedure: Avoid touching your brows with anything that may carry bacteria (hands, makeup brushes, towels, etc.) for the first 24-48 hours. No cleansers, creams, makeup or any other products on treated area for 4 days. Only use the natural healing cream given to you by the artist (with sterilized hands or gloves) on the treated area to help keep moisturized and protected. In the shower, avoid direct contact with water to the treated area. Do not rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can pull out the pigment. Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 3-4 weeks after procedure. Avoid heavy sweating for the first 4 days. No facials, chemical treatments and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.

Please note: Eyebrows will appear darker and bolder due to natural scabbing and healing for the first 10 days. This is very common for all semi-permanent cosmetic procedures. We will discuss all the aftercare instructions during/ after the appointment and you will receive and email with the aftercare instructions to help keep you on track for the following 2-3 weeks of healing time.

TOUCH UP

The touch up happens 4 - 6 weeks after the initial appointment.  As your brows are healing you may notice some lines will hold less pigment or even disappear completely which is the main purpose of the touch up. Also, as you become more comfortable with how your brows are looking you may want to adjust your brows slightly (darker, thicker, higher arch) which we can then address when you come back! Once the touch up is complete, you're good to go for 6 months - 2 years (this timeline is very much dependant on the individual and their skin care routine). Many clients like to keep their brows looking sharp and dark so they come for touch ups more frequently to help maintain a certain look.

See you soon!
